This tour covers the entire tea plantation from low country to the up country reaching the famous Nuwara Eliya city which is famous as little England located 6128 ft above the sea level with a freezing weather in the night sometimes at below 5 Celsius.

Day 01

Enter Hill City


Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage


From the airport proceed along the historical Kandy Road which is the first highway built up by the British Government. On the way before reaching Kandy turn off to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975 in Pinnawala off Kandy Road in a natural beautiful park bordering to the Ma Oya River, sheltering baby elephants founded in Jungles in Sri Lanka. You will watch elephants playing & bathing in the river. Feeding milk to baby elephants is a rare opportunity to watch.

Passing Through the historical Kadugannawa Hill, Reach to capital city of Hill country, Kandy.


Temple of Tooth Relic Kandy


Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site mainly due to the temple. This temple was Built up in the year 1595 which houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, located in the Royal Palace Complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy.

Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden

This was established in 1861 and exclusively open for the Kandyan Royalty in early years. Now it is open for the common people. This is the largest and most impressive botanical garden in Sri Lanka where you find rare collection of flowers including the finest Orchid in the world.

Day 02

Kandy/Nuwara Eliya


Ramboda Waterfall




Leave Kandy and proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

On the way to Nuwara Eliya, Stop at Pussellawa and watch Ramboda Waterfall at a 800 Meters walk along a footpath. This waterfall is the 790th highest waterfall in the world.

Passing Ramboda you are going through the real tea plantation in Sri Lanka which is very attractive environment to watch. On the way get the opportunity to visit a tea factory to study the whole process of manufacturing tea starting from plucking tea leaves up to Blending, Drying and Grading.

Nuwara Eliya


The city Nuwara Eliya is a basin situated in the middle of Sri Lanka surrounded by a ring of mountains.

This city was a thick jungle in 1885 with many Waterfalls and Streams. It is the main Hill Resort of Sri Lanka and the Heart of the tea industry.

The Ancient Emperors of Sri Lanka have not known the economical value, kept Nuwara Eliya jungle undisturbed without doing any constructions as it gives the birth for many water resources.

In 1818 the British Governor Sir Edward Barnes constructed the road and shelters in Nuwara Eliya and he built his holiday home in Nuwara Eliya and named it as Barns Hall. Today this place with 150 rooms is known as Grand Hotel. Where you get the opportunity stay your night.

The houses, Gardens places and names of Nuwara Eliya were planned to be a English village by the British Rulers

This beautiful city was home away from home for the British Colonialist in the 19 Century.


Hakgala Flower Garden


Located few kilometers away from Nuwara Eliya city along Badulla road, the second largest flower garden in Sri Lanka.

This garden was founded in 1884 and over 10000 verities of flora planted here and garden is famous for rare species of roses and orchids, specially grown in a very cool climate.


Go to the Edge of the World - Be Careful


Located in Hortain Plains National Park of Nuwara Eliya. It is very steep rock with a drop of 4000ft. The Indian Ocean which is 81 Km away can be seen from the edge of the rock when the weather is clear.

It is one of the most visited Places of Horatin Plains National Park.
