Mountains & Valleys - This Tour is designed for our guests to watch many uncommon areas where most of the tourists do not touch in their normal programme. Entering to the up country through Knucles mountains and coming down to Mahiyanaganaya through thick jungles is a wonderful experience.

Day 01

Katunayaka /Pinnawala/ Kandy



Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

From the airport proceed along the historical Kandy Road which is the first highway built up by the British Government. On the way before reaching Kandy turn off to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975 in Pinnawala off Kandy Road in a natural beautiful park bordering to the Ma Oya River, sheltering baby elephants founded in Jungles in Sri Lanka. You will watch elephants playing & bathing in the river. Feeding milk to baby elephants is a rare opportunity to watch.

Passing Through the historical Kadugannawa Hill, Reach to capital city of Hill country, Kandy.


Temple of Tooth Relic


Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site mainly due to the temple. This temple was Built up in the year 1595 which houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, located in the Royal Palace Complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy.

Botanical Garden


This was established in 1861 and exclusively open for the Kandyan Royalty in early years. Now it is open for the common people. This is the largest and most impressive botanical garden in Sri Lanka where you find rare collection of flowers including the finest Orchid in the world.

Day 02

Kandy/ Mahiyanagaya


From Kandy proceed to Mahiyanaganaya through Mathale Raththota and passing a chain of Knucles mountains. On the way get the opportunity to watch spice gardens in Mathale. This route lies through jungles and mist and get the opportunity to watch elephants and other animals on the way.

Mahiyanganaya
Mahiyagana is located at a distance of 194km away from Colombo. Mahiyangana region, a plain with Mahaweli river running through it provides access to a several National Parks, bird sanctuaries and aborigine lands: Sorabora Wewa reservoir, Dambana, Ulhitiya Wewa reservoir, Minipe reservoir, Randenigala reservoir, Maduruoya wildlife park, Wasgomuwa wildlife park are the major attractions.

Primitive Society
Get the opportunity to visit Dambana few kilometers away from Mahiyanagaya town where you find primitive tribes in Sri Lanka. The traditional lifestyle and the social divisions of this primitive people are still maintained by them and they have their own way of living in jungles and do hunting animals for their living.

Day 03

Mahiyanaganaya

Visit the famous temple in Mahiyanganaya located bordering to the river Mahaweli where Lord Buddha has visited.

Visit the areas where you find many lakes in the jungle which are mostly untouched by the normal visitors. We organized traditional rawing boats in natural lakes.


Wasgamuwa National Parks

Wasgamuwa National Park (Wasgomuwa) spanning over 36,900 hectares is bordered by River Mahaweli Ganga and River Amban Ganga in east and west. The center of the attraction is herds of elephants up to 150. Other wildlife includes Purple faced langur monkeys, wild boar, sambar and spotted deer, buffalo and rarely sighted leopards and sloth bears.Among the reptiles are water monitor, mugger crocodile etc.

Day 4

Mahiyanaganaya/ Ella


Ella in Sri Lanka is a beautiful place to stay, located in the edge of mountains before you climb down to southern part of the country. Ella has a different weather in the day time it reminds hot English Summer and in the night it is very cool.


Ravana waterfall


Located in Ella. The Ravana Falls is a popular sightseeing attraction in Sri Lanka. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country. This waterfall measures approximately 25 m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop.

Day 6

Ella/Nuwara Eliya


Leave Ella for Nuwara Eliya. Going through Bandarawela and Welimada and enter in to the Nuwara Eliya from the eastern side of Sri Lanka. on the way you can visit Hakkagala flower garden before you reach Nuwara Eliya.

The city Nuwara Eliya is a basin situated in the middle of Sri Lanka surrounded by a ring of mountains.

This city was a thick jungle in 1885 with many Waterfalls and Streams. It is the main Hill Resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry.

The Ancient Emperors of Sri Lanka have not known the economical value, kept Nuwara Eliya jungle undisturbed without doing any constructions as it gives the birth for many water resources.

In 1818 the British Governor Sir Edward Barnes constructed the road and shelters in Nuwara Eliya and he built his holiday home in Nuwara Eliya and named it as Barns Hall. Today this place with 150 rooms is known as Grand Hotel. Where you get the opportunity stay your night.

The houses, Gardens places and names of Nuwara Eliya were planned to be a English village by the British Rulers This beautiful city was home away from home for the British Colonialist in the 19 Century.


Hakgala flower Garden


Located few kilometers away from Nuwara Eliya city along Badulla road, the second largest flower garden in Sri Lanka This garden was founded in 1884 and over 10000 verities of flora planted here and garden is famous for rare species of roses and orchids, specially grown in a very cool climate.


World’s End


Located in Hortain Plains National Park of Nuwara Eliya. It is very steep rock with a drop of 4000ft. The Indian Ocean which is 81 Km away can be seen from the edge of the rock when the weather is clear.
